From first idea to final page
Choose a child or animal hero, enter a name, and upload an authorized reference photo. Select one of the four illustration styles and review the generated character before continuing.
Choose Write my own story and describe one small adventure. Generate a text draft, read the planned pages, and edit the words and scenes. Custom-story text drafting and regeneration do not use AI credits.
Approve the displayed draft to begin the illustrated build. Character, cover, page, and ending image generation use credits. Review the finished book, make direct edits, and download the PDF.
The AI storybook creator organizes an 8-, 12-, or 16-page story with a cover, dedication, and wordless ending. You can also use a template for a one-action illustrated build instead of the custom draft workflow.
Choose Dreamy watercolor, Cozy gouache, Paper-cut magic, or Soft 3D. The illustration generator uses the approved character reference, but likeness and page-to-page consistency still need checking.
Review the text and pictures together, change the available page layouts and paper colors, and reorder pages. Direct edits and PDF export do not use AI credits. There is no printing or shipping service.

A windy hill, a creaky garden gate, and a friendly guide give the pictures something concrete to show. Avoid addresses, school names, and private routines.
Tell the creator how you want the adventure to feel. Then read the generated draft to see whether the ending actually resolves the original goal.

AI generation and generated revisions can use account credits. Review the cost shown in the creator before requesting another version. Direct editing, saving, and downloading your PDF are free.

A fully illustrated Taleyo book is not free: AI generation uses account credits. Custom-story text drafting and regeneration, direct editing, saving, and PDF downloads do not use credits. You still need a configured account and credits for the relevant generation steps.
You can read the public sample and browse examples without signing up. Creating or saving your own book requires an adult account and Google sign-in. Taleyo does not offer anonymous book generation.
The Write my own story workflow lets you supply an idea or story context, then review and edit a draft before approving illustrations. It is not a standalone bulk image generator or a promise to reproduce an uploaded manuscript exactly.
The creation tools are for adults 18 and over. An authorized adult uploads references, operates the AI, and reviews the result before reading or sharing the digital book with a child.
